Our client is an international law firm looking to further reinforce the positioning of its Employment Law practice in Luxembourg by welcoming an experienced lawyer capable of combining strong technical expertise with a genuine appetite for client development.

Rather than stepping into a predefined role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to take significant ownership of the practice and its future direction. The firm is therefore particularly interested in a lawyer who has reached a stage in their career where market visibility, client relationships and business development have become a natural extension of their legal expertise.

The position can be considered at Counsel level, with the perspective of progressively moving toward a broader leadership role. Depending on the seniority, positioning and business case of the candidate, discussions with more senior profiles may also be considered.

Your Responsibilities | Employment Law – Counsel – Business Development

• Advise a sophisticated local and international client base on strategic Luxembourg employment law matters.
• Take ownership of complex and sensitive advisory, pre-contentious and contentious matters.
• Advise employers on restructurings, reorganizations, dismissals, employment agreements, internal policies and sensitive employee-related matters.
• Establish yourself as a trusted adviser to clients, combining technical expertise with a strong understanding of their commercial considerations.
• Take an active role in expanding the firm's Employment Law activity in Luxembourg.
• Develop new client relationships while identifying opportunities within the firm's existing international network.
• Participate in pitches, conferences, publications and other initiatives contributing to the visibility of the practice.
• Work closely with the firm's Partners on the positioning and long-term development of Employment Law in Luxembourg.
• Depending on the development of the activity, contribute to the growth and future supervision of the team.
  
  

Profile and Career Path | Employment Law – Counsel – Business Development

• You are an experienced Employment Lawyer with a strong understanding of the Luxembourg market.
• You have reached a high degree of technical autonomy and are comfortable taking responsibility for sophisticated matters and client relationships.
• You have a genuine commercial mindset and are interested in developing business alongside your legal practice.
• An existing client portfolio would represent a significant advantage, although the firm will also consider candidates who can demonstrate a credible ability to generate and develop business.
• You are comfortable representing a practice externally and developing long-term relationships with decision-makers.
• You are looking for a position offering greater visibility and the possibility to influence the development of a practice.
• You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
