Our partner is a firm that is already implanted in Luxembourg and abroad, with a client base that is just as interesting as what you might find in some of the largest players on the market. However, this firm leaves a lot of autonomy to the Luxembourgish office, to establish itself in a way that makes sense for Luxembourg and that will not just follow the other offices’ guidelines.

You will benefit from the stability and support of the offices abroad while still having a lot of freedom in the decisions you make and the evolution you see fit for the firm here.

For confidentiality reasons, many details have not been disclosed at this stage, but we are keen to discuss this further with suitable candidates.

Your Responsibilities | Partner Tax – Fiscalité – Law – Legal – Law Firm – Droit Fiscal

• You are in charge of setting up the Tax department of the law firm, including its processes, for which you will however have the support of other departments and one of the offices abroad.
• If you do not have any portable business to bring, that will not be an issue as you will already have files to work on, from clients who are assisted in other departments of the firm and for which tax matters are currently referred to other lawyers.
• As the department currently is in its set-up phase, we are looking for a candidate who is willing to be operational on their files, even if that means taking on more basic legal work if that is necessary. Of course, as the firm grows, this will then be referred to (junior) associates.
• You not only ensure client satisfaction with the current client base, but will also be involved in prospecting, networking and bringing in new business.

• You have at least 10 years of experience in Tax, primarily in Law firms in Luxembourg. You currently hold a position of Counsel or Partner.
• If you have a team to bring and/or portable business, that is an additional plus although we may consider candidates without it.
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are eager to set up the Tax department of a firm with an international structure and network, while currently keeping a small size in Luxembourg.
• Fluency in French and English is a prerequisite. Knowledge of any other language such as German, Italian or Spanish is considered an an advantage.
• You are of course a member of the Luxembourg Bar.

• Depending on your profile, whether you have portable business and/or a team to bring, your salary may vary. That is why there is no specific budget set, and we are happy to receive your profile to define together what can be considered. In any case, an important bonus is also part of the salary package, half of which is guaranteed, and the other half discretionary.
• Your role will have a much larger impact here than if you were to join a Magic Circle firm (or similar) for example where your decision-making power is more limited. This is, as a result, a great opportunity for entrepreneurial lawyers.
