Our client is an international law firm with an established Banking & Finance practice in Luxembourg, advising financial institutions, investment funds, corporate groups and investors on sophisticated financing transactions.

The Luxembourg team offers senior lawyers the opportunity to work on matters with a strong cross-border dimension, often involving several jurisdictions and close coordination with other practice groups. At this level, you will not simply support transactions: you will take ownership of key workstreams, maintain direct client relationships and play an active role in driving matters through to closing.

The firm is now looking to strengthen its Banking & Finance practice with a Senior Lawyer who already has solid transactional experience, is comfortable managing files with autonomy and wants to continue developing both technically and commercially.

Your Responsibilities | Banking – Finance – Transactions – Advisory

• Advise local and international clients on a broad range of banking and financing transactions.
• Handle matters including acquisition finance, corporate finance, refinancing and structured financing.
• Take the lead on drafting, reviewing and negotiating loan agreements, security documentation, intercreditor agreements and other transaction documents.
• Manage significant parts of cross-border transactions involving several jurisdictions.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, lenders, borrowers, external counsel and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate closely with Corporate, Investment Funds and other practice groups where matters require a multidisciplinary approach.
• Supervise or support more junior lawyers where appropriate.
• Contribute to the smooth execution of transactions from structuring through to closing.
• Participate in client development and strengthen long-term relationships with the firm’s existing client base.

• You have developed solid experience in Banking & Finance within a Luxembourg law firm.
• You are comfortable managing complex transactional matters with a high degree of autonomy.
• You have a strong understanding of financing structures and related legal documentation.
• You are fluent in English; French requirements will depend on the client environment.
• You are confident in client-facing situations and comfortable coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• You possess strong drafting, analytical and organizational skills.
• You are ready to take greater ownership of matters and contribute to the development of the practice.
