Business Developer – International Law Firm, Human Value

This international law firm enjoys a longstanding global reputation and is widely recognized for its capacity to handle cross-border matters of strategic importance. For decades, the firm has been advising some of the most prominent financial institutions, multinational groups and investment funds across multiple jurisdictions.

The Luxembourg office, home to a human-sized team of around twenty professionals, plays an essential role within the firm’s European network. The business development function is fully integrated and actively contributes to the office’s visibility and long-term client strategy.

As part of its ongoing development and to support growth in key practice areas, the firm is now looking to recruit a Business Developer with a solid understanding of legal services and excellent writing skills. You will be involved in a variety of projects, ranging from marketing campaigns to proposal management, in a stimulating and collaborative setting.

Your Responsibilities | Business Development - Law Firm - Strategy – Marketing– Legal

  • Contribute to the development and rollout of tailored business development strategies by practice group or industry
  • Prepare marketing and pitch materials, including RFP responses and presentations, in direct collaboration with lawyers
  • Draft, update and manage brochures, credentials, and client-focused documents
  • Conduct market intelligence and competitor research to inform strategic positioning
  • Collaborate with BD teams across the firm’s international network on global campaigns
  • Support the planning and execution of conferences, client events and visibility initiatives

Profile and Career Path | Business Development - Law Firm - Strategy – Marketing – Legal

  • At least 5 years of experience in a business development or marketing role within a law firm or professional services firm
  • Fluency in English and French is essential; any additional language is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to interact with partners and senior professionals
  • A solid understanding of the legal environment and the needs of cross-border business development
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider regional team
