External Auditor – French Border, Audit Firm offering Work Life Balance
A small audit firm located at the French border is currently looking for an experienced (Senior) External Auditor to support the firm’s development. You will be working with a team of experienced auditors who have been working within the company for quite a while already.
The audit firm has a stable work environment and team, which makes it easier for both clients and colleagues to count on one another. Moreover, the employees enjoy an optimal working atmosphere as they can always count on the Partners of the firm who are still actively involved in the day-to-day operations and who are happy to share their experience, of more than 20 years, with the team. You will work closely with your manager who will offer support but who will not micromanage you, as the firm values a more hand-off approach and giving freedom and autonomy to one another.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of clients and develop a generalist profile meaning that you will assist both commercial and financial clients. This will allow you to gain valuable experience in both fields. This audit firm also prioritizes employee well-being as it is aware that work/life balance can be very limited in external audit.

Your Responsibilities | Auditor – Audit – External Audit - Auditeur
As an Auditor, you will be responsible for assisting a diversified client base consisting of financial and commercial companies. You will handle the complete audit process, which includes planning and executing audit tests, evaluating risks and analyzing the structures’ activities.
To be successful in this role, you must possess good time management skills and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining organizational efficiency.
Additionally, you will collaborate with your team members by sharing your queries and concerns, enabling you to learn and provide timely assistance to your clients.
You will also help mentor Junior auditors by offering guidance if needed. Your level of experience may also allow you to participate in reviewing their work.
Profile and Career Path | Auditor – Audit – External Audit - Auditeur
You have an experience of between 2 and 5 years as an external auditorin a Big Four or audit firm located in Luxembourg. Luxembourgish experience is mandatory for this role.
You are fluent in French and English. Knowledge of any other language will of course be an advantage but is certainly not required. You will also integrate a French speaking environment between collaborators.
You should have an interest in continuing your learning curve and growing professionally. Your goal should be, in time, to achieve full autonomy and to eventually oversee Junior Auditors. Of course, career prospects(Assistant Manager, Manager…) will be offered to you.
You hold a Master degree in Economics, Finance, Audit, Accounting or any other similar orientation.

Depending on your level of autonomy and experience in external audit, your salary can go up to €65.000 gross per year. In addition to your salary, you will receive meal vouchers and a discretionary bonus.
The offices are conveniently located at the French border, so as a French cross-border worker you will significantly reduce your time on the roadand be able to easily park your car right in front of the offices.
